Careers

Careers at the nech: we work in projects, not in headcount

We are not building a department. We work in projects: every project has a scope, a deadline and a budget, and the person running it answers for the result, not for being present. For specific client projects we bring in people from outside: market research, commercial conversations, support during market entry. Below we describe how that works in practice, who we look for, and how to apply even when nothing is open.

We are not hiring at the moment

There are no open positions today. This is not a polite formula: when we look for someone for a project, the posting appears in this exact place along with the scope of work, the rate and the timeline. That is what most postings are missing, so we start there.

Regardless of that, we are always looking for talented people who think. If you see yourself in one of the directions described below, send us an application. We read every one and come back to them when a matching project appears.

How we work

We start from the project, not from the CV

We have no four-stage recruitment process and no take-home assignment for the weekend. We have client projects and one question: can you run a specific part of them.

01Conversation

We talk about one specific project

We do not ask about your five-year career plan. We ask what you can deliver in the project currently on our desk, in what time, and for what money. One conversation, no stages.

02Project

You work on a real client from week one

No onboarding into theory. You get the scope, the deadline, the market context and access to us whenever something stalls. The result is visible immediately, because the client sees it.

03Cooperation

If it works, we stay for the next projects

People whose first project went well come back for the next ones in the same industry. That is how ongoing cooperation forms: no employment contract, but a predictable stream of work.

Directions

Who we look for, when we look

We are always open to strong people, but three directions come up most often. For each one we also state what we do not offer, so we do not waste the time of people looking for something else.

Market research and analysis

Someone who tests a market by talking, not by spreadsheet

The task is this: find the companies that actually buy in a given market, reach the person who decides, and confirm demand in a conversation. A list pulled from open sources is the starting point, not the result.

What we do not offer: employment, process-based work, or reports written for the drawer.

Outreach and commercial calls

Someone who will call a stranger on behalf of a client

Phone, email, LinkedIn, and getting to the first meeting. The language of the market is mandatory: German for the German market, Ukrainian for the Ukrainian one. Without it the conversation never starts.

What we do not offer: a script to read out and a target of a hundred calls a day.

Project consultant

Someone with experience in a specific industry

Energy, construction, industry. A person who understands what a purchasing decision looks like on the client side, who makes it, and what they need to see before they make it.

What we do not offer: a corporate ladder or a title instead of a scope of work.

Forms of cooperation

Three ways to start

We settle on a B2B contract, or on a contract for specific work for a single project. Full breakdown below, with no hidden conditions.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about working with us

Do you hire employees?

No. the nech is an advisory practice in which we work with contractors on B2B terms, and on a contract for specific work for one-off projects. We do not offer employment and we are not planning to change that any time soon. We say it plainly, because it is better to lose a candidate at this stage than after three conversations.

There are no openings, can I still send a CV?

Yes, that is what the form at the bottom of this page is for. We are always looking for talented people, so we get in touch when a project matching your experience comes up. We do not promise a reply within a week, but we read every application ourselves and keep it for twelve months.

Is the work remote?

Mostly yes. Research and outreach run remotely, client meetings take place in Warsaw or in the market the client is entering. International projects sometimes involve travel, always agreed in advance and settled separately.

What languages do you work in?

Polish, English and Ukrainian are our working languages. For a specific market, what counts is the language of that market: without it a commercial conversation with a local company makes no sense. If you speak a language we do not have, do mention it in your cover letter.

Do you take students?

Yes, for paid internships in research and building company lists. We do not run an internship programme with one intake a year, so the form is the only route. Internships are always paid; we do not offer unpaid ones.

Application

Send your CV for the future

Even when nothing is open, we read what comes in. What interests us most is the cover letter: a CV says where you have been, a letter says what you can do.

Write what you are genuinely good at, which role you see yourself in with us, and what you consider your strongest side. We are interested in specifics: one project you delivered and what came out of it. Minimum 300 characters.
