01  /  Who we are

A B2B advisory firm in Warsaw, not a consulting corporation

A B2B advisory firm helps a company diagnose what is holding growth back, choose a direction, and carry the plan through to implementation. In the B2B model that means working with long sales cycles, a small number of large contracts, and decisions taken by several people on the client side at once.

the nech started from a simple observation. Large advisory firms sell access to a brand while the actual work is done by a team of juniors. Solo consultants sit closer to the client but stop at recommendations, because they have no capacity for delivery. Between those two models there is room for a practice that takes fewer projects and carries each one to the end.

So the boutique format is a deliberate choice, not a limitation we grew into. The number of simultaneous projects is capped because the founder leads each one personally. In exchange, an engagement ends with a working solution rather than a presentation for the board.

The full scope of work our B2B advisory firm covers sits on the B2B consulting services page, where you will find eight services and a table that helps you pick the right track by starting from the problem instead of the service name.

In practice, an adviser working in the B2B model spends more time in conversations than in spreadsheets. A report will show that margin dropped four points, but only a conversation with the salesperson, the plant manager and two customers explains why. That is why every project we run opens with a round of interviews inside the company and outside it, rather than a request for access to the reporting system.

The second thing that separates B2B advisory from work with mass markets is reaction time. A change in the sales process will not show a result in a week, because the customer's own buying cycle runs a quarter or longer. Any adviser promising growth within a month either has not worked in this model or is measuring something other than signed contracts. We plan on a twelve to twenty-four month horizon and set the metrics accordingly.

03  /  Approach

What our B2B advisory firm does and what it does not do

In a market where the word "consultant" covers everything from a freelancer to an agency with two hundred juniors, being specific matters. Saying plainly where our competence ends saves time on both sides in the very first conversation, and it saves the client money: the most expensive advisory project is the one that turns out, three months in, not to have been what the company needed.

What we do

A B2B advisory firm built around execution

  • Growth strategy for B2B companies, from diagnosis to measurable indicators
  • Business plans for Polish banks, EU grant programmes and private investors
  • Building a B2B sales system from zero, or rebuilding an existing one
  • Polish companies expanding into the European Union and Ukraine
  • Foreign companies entering the Polish market: analysis, strategy, first contracts
  • Sourcing partners, distributors and contractors on both sides of the border
  • Presence in the project until first contracts and measurable results

What we do not do

Anything that pulls us away from B2B competence

  • We do not write strategies that end up in a drawer
  • We do not run projects for the consumer market
  • We do not hand projects to juniors or subcontractors
  • We do not disappear once the report is delivered, we stay until the result
  • We do not resell proven recipes from another industry as strategy
  • We do not take on more clients than we can personally lead
04  /  Who leads

One adviser. No intermediaries.

Every client works directly with the founder, from the first conversation to the final page of the report. For specific tasks such as financial models, legal questions or field research in distant markets we bring in specialists we have worked with before, but the lead on the project never changes hands.

Dima V. Nechyporenko leads advisory projects at the nech, a B2B advisory firm in Warsaw

Dima V. Nechyporenko

Founder, managing partner

19 years in B2B advisory. Has worked with companies from Poland, Ukraine and the European Union on strategy, entry into new markets and raising finance. The deepest experience sits in energy and renewables, in construction, and in the industrial B2B sector.

Operating experience gathered across Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Italy, France, Latvia, the USA, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. Works in three languages: English, Polish and Ukrainian. Also appears as a business speaker at conferences and industry panels.

Inside a project he is usually responsible for three things: diagnosing what actually holds growth back, choosing the market or segment where the company has a real advantage, and being present at the first commercial conversations where the plan meets reality. That third part takes the most time and decides whether the project ends with a result or with a document.

05  /  Methodology

How our B2B advisory firm works: four steps

The same sequence applies across all our services, whether it is a business plan for a Polish bank or entry into an EU market. No hidden phases and no separate charge for implementation.

01

Diagnosis

45 minutes, free. We work out where the company is now, where it wants to go, and what is genuinely blocking growth. You leave that conversation with concrete conclusions even if you decide not to go further.

02

Strategy

2 to 4 weeks of work. A written plan with stages, budget and measurable indicators. Not a document for the supervisory board, but a plan of action you can start executing straight away.

03

Execution

We stay in the project. We take part in the first commercial meetings, bank negotiations and investor presentations. Voltage Group signed its first EU contract in three months precisely because the work did not stop once the strategy was agreed.

04

Result

Measurable, not optimised. A signed contract, an office opened, finance secured, operations launched in a new market. We report in numbers rather than in descriptions of process, including the assumptions that turned out to be wrong.

06  /  Industries

B2B sectors our advisory firm works with

We have more experience in technical and capital-intensive B2B segments, and less in fast-moving mass-market models. That is focus rather than a limitation. Details for each sector sit in the scope of services.

Energy and renewables

Utility-scale solar plants, energy infrastructure, storage systems, EPC contractors. The deepest experience comes from projects above 65 MW for Voltage Group across Poland, Spain, Italy and Latvia.

Industrial B2B

Machinery and equipment manufacturing, engineering solutions, services for industry. Growth strategy, expansion and rebuilding of the sales system for technical teams.

Construction and infrastructure

General contractors, subcontractors and material producers working with developers. Example: Ostapiv Dachy, from no positioning at all to contracts with Polish developers.

B2B technology companies

Software and solutions built on artificial intelligence for industrial clients. Example: Greenvi AI, positioning and entry into the Polish market with a niche B2B product.

Export and international trade

Polish manufacturers looking for B2B channels in EU markets and Ukraine. Regulatory questions, building distribution, first contracts, opening a local representation.

Logistics

Logistics operators, hauliers on the Poland to Ukraine corridor, transhipment warehouses, customs agencies. What makes the corridor specific is that this border is also the external border of the European Union.

07  /  Geography

Warsaw is the base. The rest is experience.

The office and the daily work sit in Warsaw. Nineteen years as a B2B advisory firm produced projects across nine markets. We list them as evidence that the method travels beyond one country, not as a marketing metric.

Primary market
Warsaw, Poland
European Union, delivered projects
Spain Italy France Latvia
Strategic partner market
Ukraine
International experience
USA Canada United Arab Emirates

We treat the Poland and Ukraine corridor as one area rather than two separate markets. More on how entry preparation actually looks sits in the guide on entering a new market, and more on the analytical tools in the piece on four strategic frameworks.

For a company arriving in Poland from outside, the expensive surprises are rarely regulatory. They are contracting customs: payment terms, the procurement calendar of large buyers, and the way a decision is actually taken on the client side. None of that appears in a market report. That is exactly why an adviser with operating experience in the market is worth more than analysis bought off the shelf.

08  /  Principles

Five principles of our B2B advisory firm

These are not marketing slogans. They are the operating rules a B2B advisory firm of this size stands on, from the first client conversation to handover of the results.

01

Honesty before sales

If a project is not a fit for us, or we are not a fit for the client, we say so in the first conversation. Better to lose a contract than to gain a client who ends up disappointed. In boutique advisory, reputation lasts longer than any agreement.

02

The founder, not a team of juniors

The client works directly with the person running the project, from the first meeting to the final report. That caps the number of simultaneous engagements, and it is exactly what clients are paying for.

03

Strategy and execution are one job

We only write a strategy when we stay in the project until it starts working. A document without delivery is an illusion of progress. That is why the scope includes presence at the first negotiations, bank presentations and partner meetings.

04

B2B and only B2B

Nineteen years of focus on one model. Instead of surface knowledge of many segments, we have a deep understanding of how buying decisions are actually made in technical, energy and industrial companies.

05

No translators, no intermediaries

English, Polish and Ukrainian as three full working languages. That is an advantage in negotiations with international partners, in presentations for European investors, and on projects spanning Poland, Ukraine and the European Union.

09  /  Limits

When a B2B advisory firm is not the right answer

We turn down a handful of projects every year and it is worth saying so plainly before anyone spends time on a call. Below are the situations where we say this is not a project for us, and what we suggest instead.

Situations in which we decline an engagement
Situation Why we decline What we suggest instead
Consumer model, selling to private individuals Our entire practice is B2B, we hold no advantage here A referral to an adviser who specialises in that model
Company before first revenue Without sales data the diagnosis rests on assumptions A standalone business plan for a grant or investor, without a strategy project
A document is wanted, with no implementation A report without delivery does not change the company result A short audit with recommendations, if that is genuinely all that is needed
Scope under two weeks of work Too little time to produce anything worth paying for A single paid consultation rather than a project
No decision maker on the client side Delivery stalls at the first difficult decision We revisit the conversation once the owner or board can commit
Advertising campaigns and social media management That is the work of a marketing agency, not a business adviser We stay with strategy and positioning, the client commissions execution

The list works in the other direction too. If a company has revenue, a B2B model, a specific problem and someone ready to make decisions, it is very likely a project where an adviser will change something real. The rest is a question of scope and schedule, which we agree after the brief.

10  /  FAQ

B2B advisory firm in Warsaw: frequently asked questions

Who actually leads the project?

The project is led by the founder of the nech, Dima V. Nechyporenko, and he is your point of contact for the whole engagement. For specific tasks such as financial models, legal questions or field research in distant markets we bring in specialists we have worked with before. Projects are not handed off to a junior team.

Do you work on a project basis or on an ongoing arrangement?

Both are possible. Most engagements have a defined scope and end date: diagnosis, plan, delivery, close. Some clients then move to a lighter ongoing arrangement where we stay available for consultations, short audits and help with the next decisions. We agree the format after the brief, depending on whether the problem is a one-off or the company needs someone for longer.

How does an engagement start?

With a free intro call of about 45 minutes. We go through the company situation, the goals and the constraints, and by the end both sides know whether the project makes sense and at what scope. If it does, you get a proposal covering scope and schedule. If it does not, we say so on the same call and usually point you towards someone better suited. Book it through the contact page.

Why do you work only in the B2B model?

Because buying decisions in B2B follow different rules: the cycle runs for months, there are few contracts, and several people decide on the client side at once. Nineteen years inside one model gives a deeper grasp of those mechanics than spreading attention across the consumer market, where we would hold no advantage anyway.

Focus has a practical side as well. An adviser who knows a dozen industries at surface level has to go looking for answers at the first hard question about the structure of an EPC contract or grid connection terms. We have those answers, because the same questions have come back across projects for years.

Do you work with companies based outside Poland?

Yes. We work with companies from Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Latvia, the USA, Canada and the United Arab Emirates. Most projects concern the Polish and Ukrainian markets, but we also serve companies entering the region from elsewhere.

For a foreign client the practical difference is that meetings and documents run in English, while conversations with Polish or Ukrainian counterparts run in Polish and Ukrainian with nobody translating in between. That shortens the cycle and removes the misunderstandings that get expensive in contract negotiations.

Is the nech a marketing agency?

No. the nech is a business advisory practice. We work on strategy, business plans, B2B sales, expansion and partner sourcing. We do not run advertising campaigns, manage social media accounts or produce promotional materials.

How many projects do you run at the same time?

Deliberately few. Since the founder leads each project personally, the number of parallel engagements is capped by one person's capacity. In practice that means we sometimes propose a start in a few weeks rather than taking a project immediately and running it at surface level. If the client's deadline is fixed, we say so upfront instead of promising availability that will not exist.
